Alison Bruesehoff Assumes Helm
Alison Bruesehoff, Executive Director of the Rancho Adobe Museum is excited about building on the great success of the Club's past years as evident by their recent Club of Excellence award. "The CGD club is among the best in the district and we will continue to show others how much we can help our communities by our unselfish service and dedication".
This year's Rotary theme is "Peace through Service". As we select our community service projects to be implemented this year, we want be mindful that we need to help achieve peace in the lives we serve. Our vision will shape our goals and changes. An exciting change to occur is the merger with District 5260 which will add approximately 23 new clubs to our D5280 making it easier to partner with clubs in fundraising and fellowship events.
Increasing membership with quality members will be another goal which will help build the Rotary network. Size is important, however having quality members that can commit to the goals and ideals of Rotary is much more important. Our focus will be to bring in quality members that have the staying power. This year, I envision that we expand our International and New Generations arenas as well as implement our most successful signature and community projects. I look forward to working with you throughout the year as we continue the work of Rotary. |
